comments are from students I have had the privilege to tutor over the
past few years and their parents who have participated in the journey by
encouraging them to succeed.
After being unsuccessful in MAT 1033, I called Wendy for help. My test scores went from low 60's to 100's. I now have one of the highest grades in my class. Wendy has helped me profoundly. After getting help from Wendy I have not received a grade lower than a B! -Cristina

She can take a student like me, someone who has always been an extremely poor performer in math, and manage to help me get an A in a very tough course like MBA-level statistics. I am so thankful for having found Wendy. After taking a college algebra course twice, I had finally gave up and told myself the third time i would mostly need to invest in getting a tutor. A good friend referred Wendy to me and said great things about her. I was able to experience Wendy's teaching abilities first hand after many many (3-4 times a week) tutoring sessions. she made math so much fun & I enjoyed learning. After the course was completed, I ended up with a B+!!! I AM SO HAPPY AND THANKFUL for Wendy taking her time to teach me from the beginning! Wendy is the best tutor ever! I was taking one of hardest math classes that I had ever faced and after working with her for several weeks, I brought my 57% up to a 79%!!! Wendy made it easy for me to comprehend the material and gave me real life examples to help me understand the concepts. The one thing that I respect about her the most is, she’s genuinely not interested in the money- she cares about her student understanding and doing their part when meeting with her for tutoring sessions. Wendy challenged me and helped me to improve my study habits. I would highly recommend her to anyone but be warned; if you’re looking for someone to feed you the answers then she is NOT the tutor for you. But if you are a student who is willing to work hard and do your part then she can and will work a miracle with to achieve your goals. Thanks Wendy! There’s no way I could have made it through that class without you.
I really thought that Business Calculus would be a "traumatic" experience for me, as someone who has never taken pre calc and is not very math-oriented. However, Wendy was able to give me a very strong foundation in the basics of calc which allowed me to easily apply these skills on my own to the rest of the material in the course. If I had not learned the basics so well from Wendy, I would most certainly be struggling right now. Instead, I have gotten high A's on all of my exams and quizzes-- something I NEVER thought I could achieve in a math course! Wendy is a great tutor, so you really get a lot of "bang for your buck" during each tutoring session. Combine that tutoring with working hard yourself on practice problems, and it is a winning formula for sure.
Wendy has helped me understand the concept of Calculus with minimal prior math experience. I was registered for a Business Calculus class my first semester in college after 8 years in the military. I had a very limited knowledge of algebra needed to comprehend the calculus course. Wendy plaid a crucial role of the success I had with this course, as I went from a 55 on my first exam to a 96 on my third exam. Her methods are simple and extremely effective. She was able to teach me the algebra needed to solve the calculus, as well as teach me the calculus applications in the course. Her teaching experience shines with her ability to identify the learning methods that work best for you. Wendy, I can't thank you enough and look forward to working with you again in future classes!
Wendy helped me bring my test grades in Business Calculus from an initial 43%, to an 88%, and finally up to a 99%! Initially failing the class, I ended up with a solid A for the semester. I was incredibly grateful for the one-on-one attention that helped me to understand the concepts in a way I couldn't in the classroom. She is great!
My son was struggling in Algebra 1 Honors...barely scrapping by with a C. At the end of the third quarter he started working with Wendy and with her help he earned an A for the last quarter. Wendy is knowledgeable, patient and flexible. Thanks, Wendy!
Ms. Wendy helped me tremendously with the concepts covered in Calc 3. Because of her awesome skills and her attention to detail, I was able to bridge any gaps between what I understood in lecture and what I didn't.
